An important Regency writing table with carved wood pedestal base in the manner of Charles Heathcote Tatham. The top is symmetrically divided and leathered. The frieze, of Greek key motif, conceals two large secret drawers, which are key operated. The bases being of two seated griffins, a symbol of courage and watchfulness, on low rectangular plinths.
