George III Style Mahogany Bookcase

Taking inspiration from the designs and works of Robert Adam, circa 1775. The use of a Vitruvian scroll and the stylised vase shaped glazing bars and classical urn are typical examples of the carved decoration found on many of the elegant pieces of furniture supplied to the great houses of Britain in the third quarter of the eighteenth century, by important names such as Adam and Chippendale.
