A carved mahogany Queen Anne dining chair. The simple yet elegant cabriole leg, terminating in a pad foot, and the fully upholstered back, clearly show this chairs’ origins as being from the very beginning of the 18th century, when seating comfort, as well as pleasing design, was becoming important for the first time in England.
