George III Adam Style Armchair

An elegant English Neo-Classic style mahogany side chair with elaborate carving to the curved lyre splat back highlighted with gilded details. Serpentine front rail with gilded paterae and tapering square cross-section front legs. After an original of c.1770 designed by Robert Adam.
