Not every dinner is the same size. Some nights it is just two; other nights the whole family shows up unannounced. An expandable dining table handles both without compromise, giving you an intimate surface for weeknight meals and a full-length table for holidays and gatherings.
Our extending dining tables are built around three distinct mechanisms, each suited to a different need:
Draw leaf tables feature leaves stored beneath the main surface that slide out from either end, extending the table by two to four feet in seconds. The mechanism is entirely manual, requires no tools, and has been used in fine furniture since the 16th century. It is simple because it works.
Self-storing leaf tables use a split-top design that opens at the center, with one or more leaves stored inside the table itself. When closed, the table seats six comfortably. Fully extended, it seats ten to fourteen. The leaves lock flush with the surface so there is no visible seam or height difference.
Jupe tables are the most mechanically sophisticated option. A radial expanding mechanism rotates the top segments outward, revealing additional surface area and leaf positions. The result is a round table that remains round at every size, seating four, six, eight, or more without ever becoming oval. We carry the largest selection of Jupe dining tables available online.
Every table in this collection is constructed from solid hardwood with hand-cut joinery and finishes applied over multiple days. Most designs are available in custom sizes and finishes through our made-to-order program. If you need a specific length, width, or wood species, contact us at 855-899-3466.
White glove in-home delivery is our standard. Your table arrives assembled, placed in your dining room, and inspected before the crew leaves.
